What they do
-
Softens
The wool works the fabric as the drum turns, so towels and sheets come out soft without a coating.
-
Cuts static
Wool holds moisture and releases it slowly, which keeps static from building as the load dries.
-
Fewer wrinkles
The balls keep clothes moving and separated instead of balled up in a damp knot.
-
Replaces sheets
No single-use sheet, no fragrance, no residue on your clothes or your dryer.
How to use them
-
1. How many
Three or four for a small load, five or six for a large one, seven or eight for extra large. For towels, jeans or a comforter, use six to eight so they can spread the load out.
-
2. Toss them in
Drop them in the drum with the wet load. No measuring, no refilling, nothing to throw away.
-
3. Dry as usual
Same cycle, same heat. They thump softly as the drum turns; most people stop noticing after the first load.
Let them breathe: between loads, leave them in the dryer with the door open, or keep them in an open basket on top.

What they are made of
Made with 100% New Zealand wool and zero filler; each ball is hand-felted to a full 3 inches. They have the density to do the work properly, beating out thinner imports that need more balls per load and still fall short.
✓ 100% New Zealand wool
✓ Felted by hand in Nepal by a World Fair Trade Organization member
✓ Full 3-inch size, no filler, no coating
Four questions people ask first
Do they make noise?
A soft thump as the drum turns. Most people stop noticing after the first load.
Can I add essential oils?
Yes. A drop or two on a ball before the load adds a light natural scent.
How long do they last?
A thousand loads or more. For most households that is years.
Do they work on every fabric?
Yes. They are gentlest on towels, bedding and everyday cotton, and safe on delicates at low heat. All fourteen questions.
